Say "No" to Plastic Bags

Today Green living seems to have become the talk of the town, thanks to the increasing environmental concerns, people have started taking thins seriously. Though are various ways of green living, which can be contributed at various levels. However, charity begins from home; we are the first to start doing something rather than preaching and asking people to do. The first thing or tip for green living is say NO to plastics. Wherever you go, always carry a bag, be it market or any grocery shop, make sure you will always say No to poly bags. Make sure you use environment friendly jute bags which can be a better alternative to poly bags. So say no to plastic by replacing it with a jute bag, which you need to carry it often to start your life for Green living.

  10. I generally don't bring paper bags with me to the market but I do make an effort to save up my old plastic bags to recycle them in the container at the market. So hopefully that counts for something. Following.

  14. We generally recycle plastic bags in my house, using them as small trash bags and to carry lunches and stuff. I've been a bit weary of other bags because I hear they tend to build up dirt over time. I guess washing it would be helpful, but that's wasting water? I dunno, I don't think plastic bags would be such a problem if people disposed of them correctly instead of tossing them out of a car window.

  17. I'm not one who's thinks sacrificing our economy to "go green" is a good idea, but I do like your bag idea. It's conventional and simple to do.

  18. Paper is the better option, though the reuseable bags are the best for the environment. Cool random tidbit: A lot of grocery stores will take money off your order if you are reusing a bag. It's not much, but it's more than using new plastic bags will save you, and it can add up.

  22. Hey! Thanks for your interest in teamaccelerant.com even if you didn't want to sign up.

I commend you and your efforts towards promoting green living sir. You are fighting a war against the masses - the polluting wasting materialistic masses that dont think twice about the limits of our world.

Did you see the recall on winn dixie non plastic bags? Turns out the bags they made to stop plastic being wasted... ended up being an issue to the environment themselves! at least in the terms of disposal.

Anyways, keep up the great work!

  26. Good advice - I bought a tote bag last year for a measly 50 cents, and I use it all the time for groceries now. Way better than dealing with all those plastic bags!
